A scenic loop from Everards Meadows to Blaby and Bouskell Park including the historic Ice House.

Locations:

Everards Meadows: Open green space with Everards Beer Hall and Jenno’s Coffee Shop

Great Central Way: A traffic-free former railway line - ideal for relaxed cycling

Guthlaxton Trail: Quiet, tree-lined route with a short section on a quiet road  

Blaby Centre: Independent shops, welcoming cafés, and places to eat - perfect for a quick stop

Bouskell Park and Ice House: 19th-century Ice House, the restored Ice House is open May - September for guided tours

The Bakers Arms Blaby: Built in 1485 this medieval pub/restaurant offers fantastic home cooked food and local ales, including their signature pies 

Cycle Hire

If you’re visiting Blaby District without a bike, you can still enjoy local trails and routes by hiring one from Specialized Leicester at Everards Meadows. Bikes for all ages and abilities are available. With ample parking and direct access to the Great Central Way, it’s easy to ditch the car. Pre-book in store, by phone, or online.
