Details of the route:
Distance: 6.9 miles or 11 kilometres.
Transport: With the start being at Jubilee Park in Enderby, drivers should park at the car park there. Alternatively, use Arriva 50, X55 or X84 services.
Summary: This walk is perfect for beginners due to its shorter length and proximity to transport and amenities. On the walk you will not only see some of the district's most iconic village such as Blaby and Whetstone but you will also walk past some of the district's top tourist hotspots such as Everards Meadows and Fosse Park. Whilst you walk, you will read about the fascinating history of these areas, about the exploits of Frank Whittle, the development of the Great Central Railway and the rise of the out-of-town shopping centre among other stories.
